Diet is a genuine interest in its history, because it was developed for British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher nutritionists world-famous Mayo Clinic. The system has 2 variations of the menu, the main product in which are eggs and cottage cheese. Due to the numerous advantages of this system of weight loss, we simply can not introduce you to it. We will tell you about the essence of the methodology, about what options exist for the Maggi diet, what is included in the curd menu and how it differs from the egg one.
Basics of Maggi Diet
Maggie's legendary diet for 4 weeks got its name in honor of Baroness Margaret Thatcher and ideally it should sound like "Meiji"- short for Margaret. But among our compatriots the system is known by that name, sometimes you can hear another name, the Magga diet. Perhaps this comic form just reflects the miraculous results of the technique.
It is not known for certain whether the Iron Lady adhered to this diet, but a leaflet with a clear menu was found in her archive after the death of the baroness. The original source described the Maggi egg diet, but as is customary, people who are losing weight made their own adjustments and various versions of the Maggi diet appeared, the most popular of which was the curd menu.

The main tenets of the methodology are as follows:
- Breakfast is unchanged throughout the month: the egg menu involves breakfast of boiled eggs and grapefruit, and cottage cheese, respectively, cottage cheese and citrus.
- Next, you need to follow the clearly marked menu of the Maggi diet, without deviating from the instructions.
- Every day you need to drink as much liquid as possible.
- Seasoning is banned and salt consumption is minimized.
- Sweets are completely excluded, but on days when meat is introduced into the menu, alcohol is allowed, but for greater efficiency it is better to exclude it.
- It is impossible to use this technique more than once a year.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Maggi diet
The Maggi diet for 4 weeks has gained wide recognition for women due to its many advantages:
- Efficiency. The weight goes away and numerous reviews confirm this.
- Understandable. Thanks to the clear menu for the week of the Maggi diet, it is easy to follow it.
- Universal duration. In its original form, the Maggi diet is designed for a week, but if necessary, the weekly diet can be repeated up to 4 times in a row, achieving the desired result.
- Availability. The Maggi diet menu includes simple products of average cost, and therefore it is acceptable for many women.
- Long lasting result. With proper output, the weight is not returned, as is the case with express diets.
- Balance In the egg menu, as well as in the cottage cheese, proteins, fats and carbohydrates are included in sufficient quantities for the full work of the body.
The disadvantage of the Maggi system for losing weight is that it is not suitable for everyone. Maggi diet is contraindicated for a week for people who are allergic to citrus fruits and eggs, as they are on the menu every day, as well as for those who have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, pregnant women and women during lactation. Risks of breakdown and night attacks of the refrigerator are not excluded, restrictions in sweets will make the system difficult for those who like chocolate and baking.

Egg Diet
As we have already noted, there are a lot of diet variations. Maggie's Egg Diet, a menu that was developed by Mayo Clinic nutritionists for Prime Minister Thatcher, looks like this:
Monday:
- Breakfast: you need to eat 2 boiled eggs and a half of citrus. Ideally, it should be a grapefruit, but it can be replaced with an orange. This breakfast will be throughout the week.
- Dinner: 2 eggs again and a whole citrus.
- Dinner: a salad of green vegetables, toast, and unchanged citrus and 2 eggs.
Tuesday:
- Lunch: 2 eggs again, 2-3 tomatoes.
- Dinner: medium rare veal steak, bell pepper and cucumber vegetable salad.
Wednesday:
- Lunch: scrambled eggs with spinach from 2 eggs, citrus.
- Dinner: boiled chicken breast, carrot salad with celery and cucumber.
Thursday:
- Lunch: scrambled eggs from 2 eggs with tomatoes and spinach.
- Dinner: casserole of low-fat cottage cheese and fruit, with an egg, but without flour and sugar.
Friday:
- Lunch: boiled eggs in the traditional amount of 2 pieces, citrus, steamed vegetables.
- Dinner: 1 toast, steam fish, lettuce and romaine.
Saturday:
- Lunch: apricots or peaches in any quantity.
- Dinner: stewed veal with vegetables, for example, with cauliflower and tomatoes.
Sunday:
- Lunch: grilled chicken breast, citrus.
- Dinner: granular cottage cheese, any berries.
As you can see, all the recipes are simple, so sticking with the power scheme will be easy. But if you want to extend your weight loss for more than a week, you can vary the dishes a little, for example, veal steak can be chopped into mince and cook steam cutlets, adding allowed eggs to them, you can make orange sauce instead of grilled chicken on Sunday citrus in its purest form. And eggs can be cooked not hard-boiled, and poached in vegetable broth.

Curd option
Maggi’s curd diet has a similar menu, but instead of eggs for breakfast, you need to eat a portion of low-fat cottage cheese with a volume of 200 g, and citrus remains the unchanged hero of the morning ration. Just as in the egg version, the weekly menu can be repeated up to 4 times, but if you stopped, for example, at week 2 and decided to continue again after a while, you will have to start losing weight from the very beginning.

Slimming with this system allows you to drink coffee and tea in unlimited quantities, but do not forget about clean water, the volume of which should be drunk at least 1.5 liters per day.
