Coloring hair at home in stages
Stage 1 - the selection of the dye
The choice of dye depends on the structure of your hair and the condition of the scalp, for example, if you find wounds on your scalp or you have a skin disease, then staining is not recommended in such cases, it can only aggravate the situation.
In order to determine the hair color, lift the hair strand and look at it at the light, as in the total mass of hair appears darker than they really are. If you have a perm, it is recommended to use tinting agents, they will add shine to the hair and improve their structure.
Stage 2 - dye susceptibility test
The paint susceptibility test is necessary in order to determine if you are allergic. It is carried out as follows: a small amount of the dye is applied to the skin behind the ear for 24 hours. If during this time the skin turned red or appeared irritation, then it is better to refuse paint.
Stage 3 - Prewash
Immediately before hair coloring, you should not wash your head, it is necessary that the fat layer remains on the scalp, it will protect the hair and scalp.
If all the same, your head is too dirty, then wash your hair with shampoo without using a balm and do not wash your scalp.
Stage 4 - Dye Application
When applying the paint, hairdressers recommend to observe the following rules: 1. The edges of the forehead, as well as the temporal part, before staining, should be greased with fat cream, it will protect these areas from staining and irritation. You can also use oil or petroleum jelly. 3. When painting, be sure to wear protective gloves, as the paint destroys the nails and skin of the hands. Do not dilute the paint in metal dishes, just do not use metal tools for painting. Paint and metal form compounds that adversely affect hair and paint quality. It is necessary to mix the dye immediately before application, if the paint will stand for a long time, then it will oxidize and the intensity of your color will be weaker.5. For convenience, the hair should be divided into 4 parts, separate the top of the head with two perpendicular partings. After that, apply the paint first on partitions, then go to the back of the head. Usually the hair is darker there, and it takes longer to dye it. On the temporal zone, and on the hair at the forehead, the paint is applied last, as in these parts the thinnest hair. If you decide to lighten individual strands more than the rest of the hair, then color them first, and then the rest of the hair. 6. When dyeing in bright red tones, we first apply the dye over the entire length of the hair, without affecting the roots and the tips, and only then on these areas. Apply paint quickly, it is necessary that the color was uniform. The staining procedure should not last more than 15 minutes.8. Dye your hair in strands, the thicker your hair is, the thinner you are to take strands so that the paint can soak them well. 9. If you dye your hair in a light color, then first apply the paint on the regrown roots and wait 10-15 minutes, then distribute the remaining paint over the entire length.
Stage 5 - Paint Flushing
It is necessary to wash off the paint thoroughly, with warm water, without shampoo and balm. If your paint contains a color fixer or a special balsam then use it. Rinse hair until the water is completely transparent.
